How we make money

MechBiz is free to read. We earn money in two ways:

• Affiliate and referral programs. Some links go to software, insurance or business-service companies whose programs we participate in or have applied to. If you sign up or buy through a link marked (paid link), we may earn a commission or referral fee at no extra cost to you. Links not marked that way earn us nothing.
• Sponsorships. Sponsored newsletter issues or placements are labeled "Sponsored by [brand]".

Commissions never change the facts we report. Prices, survey data and rules are quoted from the vendor, agency or survey and linked so you can check them. If a vendor that pays us is more expensive or a worse fit for you, we'll say so.

Nothing on this site is legal, tax or insurance advice. Rules vary by state; confirm with the agency or a licensed professional.

We follow the FTC's Endorsement Guides.
